Strengthened Sustainability through Empowered Integration

Strengthened Sustainability

ien2RN partners with healthcare organizations in the recruitment, retention and sustainment of permanent nursing teams thereby building and bolstering capacity and capability.

Our mentored Internationally Educated Nurses are matched, upskilled and onboarded, ensuring they are ready to provide safe, high quality care.

Through collaboration and partnerships, our empowered integration and sustainable approach help tackle one of the greatest global Health Human Resources (HHR) crises faced by healthcare employers today.

Empowered Integration

We provide global mentorship and focused support to IENs who are going through their Canadian nursing licensure and practice transition.

The IEN mentees are guided by a team of IEN-Nurse mentors who have undergone and lived through similar nursing journeys before successfully becoming Canadian nurses and healthcare leaders.

Our Mentorship Programs and Ready-to-Care Workshops go beyond the clinicals – empowering IENs, positively impacting health care organizations, and ensuring the safety of all.

2023 Mentee Sherrie, Vancouver Island

Kudos: Congratulations, Sherrie! Your completion of 1 short course and 250 TPE hours moves you closer to becoming a BC RN. (NCAS result, May 2023)

“ien2RN helped me a LOT! This was especially when I needed to practice and enhance some of my nursing skills. I found Ms. Sheena Park on a YouTube channel where she showed how to perform some clinical skills, to which I referred to when I practiced on my own. I became more interested and decided to contact her, with the thought that she might be a good help to me before I proceed with my SLA. I scheduled an online meeting with her and it was nice because she was flexible with time – we came up with the perfect meeting schedule! Due to my fast-approaching assessment and just the day before it, I travelled to her place, met with her and another IEN-Nurse mentor named Alok, for an in-person upskilling practice until I became confident enough to showcase my Canadian nursing skills. Overall, it was a good decision! The competent experience taught by the IEN-Nurse Mentors who have undergone similar obstacles was enlightening! I am truly grateful to have the ien2RN mentors whom I know I can fully trust. I highly recommend ien2RN mentorship to all aspiring IENs! Do not hesitate to reach out to them if you are not confident enough to face your SLA. Finally, I would like to give my appreciation and gratitude to the nurse mentors, Sheena and Alok, for all the important things they have taught me.”

2024 Mentee April, Metro Vancouver

Kudos: Great job, April! Your Canadian RN journey is set to begin once you finish that 1 short course and 250 TPE hours. (Inspire result, July 2024)

“Hi! I’m April, an IEN from the Philippines. I wanted to share my journey leading up to my NCAS Assessment. It was a blur not knowing where to start when I got my schedule for CBA and SLA. I hurriedly enrolled in another review centre in Metro Vancouver but after I finished that review, I was still in a daze, was not ready, and had a lot of gaps in my nursing knowledge & skills. I kept looking for more resources and stumbled across a video on Youtube about Simulation Lab Assessment (SLA) preparation by ien2RN – this is what I’ve been looking for all along! I played their videos over and over again to practice. With my SLA schedule fast approaching, my anxiety was building up, and so without a doubt, I e-mailed ien2RN and inquired if they were taking in IENs to enroll in their skills lab mentorship. I enrolled in the ien2RN SLA bootcamp with only 1 week remaining from my assessment date. I wondered and asked myself – can I even make it? Through the ien2RN mentorship, I learned what nursing truly is here in British Columbia, Canada, and learned about what is required of us, IENs, to practice nursing well. The ien2RN mentorship guided me to put my best foot forward. I’m able to lean into my nursing knowledge, skills, & clinical judgment that I learned through their mentorship in even a short period of time. I am grateful and thankful for the opportunity to enroll in the ien2RN mentorship as they take part in my RN journey. The ien2RN mentorship gave me the boost of confidence and resilience needed to start and finish my SLA well. And I know that every IEN can, too! Our mentor, Ms. Sheena Park, is such a force! She is equipped with years & years of experience and expertise. Without a doubt, this mentorship started my RN journey in BC. All the best to all of us, IENs!”
